The Chef

Award winning Chef Eddie Basich has embarked on a new and exciting catering experience called ‘Flirtatious Food Boutique Catering’. Offering lovers of food the best there is. Making dishes that flirt with your taste buds. Bringing the restaurant to your home, having your own private chef .

Eddie has fed his culinary passion from all over the world. From London to Strahan. From Montenegro to Florence. Chef Eddie has a true passion for using the best and finest produce from the regional areas. No wonder Eddie used to be known as “The Regional Produce Chef” in Victoria.

Having grown up in the small fishing village of Port Lincoln, it’s needless to say, Eddie knows a thing or two about our friends from the Sea. Eddie brings out the unique flavours of any seafood by flavouring them simply and cooking them to perfection.

Along with his Eastern European upbringing in Port Lincoln and visits to his parent’s homelands, he was always surrounded by a rich hearty food culture. Eddie therefore brings his passion for Mediterranean style flavours and cooking into any kitchen he works in.

Credentials thus far include
  • “Best Winery Restaurant in the Yarra Valley” in 2007 whilst working at Tokar Estate
  •  Michelin Star at Rhodes in the Square with Gary Rhodes in London
  • #1 on TripAdvisor in Cairns at Fusion Art, Bar and Tapas whilst Head Chef
  • an honourable mention in The Age Good Food Guide for the work at The Hotel Shamrock’s signature restaurant

Additionally Eddie was on a monthly radio program on 3AK in Melbourne with Sandy Kay and on Easy Mix 98.3FM in Bendigo.
